Mike Sanford

Mike Sanford is dedicated to leading a team that delivers superior service and solutions to the ministries and nonprofits under their care. Not only is he the founder, owner, CEO, and managing agent of Sanford Insurance, he shares his expertise with others by serving within the industry as the president of the Professional Insurance Agents of Virginia/D.C. (PIA) as well as being a registered lobbyist for the organization. PIA is an Insurance Industry Trade Organization stressing professionalism, education, and legislation to benefit insurance consumers and stakeholders. He taught insurance pre-licensing and continuing education courses for more than 20 years while developing the agency to now serve a 10-state region. Mike holds an MBA from Averett University.

Phil Gage

With nearly 20 years of ministry experience, Phil Gage brings a unique "insider" perspective to Lightwell. His passion lies in helping ministries develop strategies to protect their most valuable assets—their people. Phil works tirelessly to build a team of producers who strike a balance between assisting ministries in moving forward while maintaining sound business acumen.

Outside of work, Phil enjoys sports and exploring the great outdoors in various ways. Happily married to his lovely wife, Michelle, since 2005, he cherishes the privilege of being a father to four amazing daughters.

Ken Dorothy

Ken Dorothy is a seasoned Lightwell agent licensed in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. With a passion for helping churches and ministries secure the right coverage at affordable costs, he develops risk management strategies to minimize losses.

Ken's extensive background in ministry, including serving as a youth pastor, president, and chairman of The Board of New England Fellowship, and serving on various church committees, gives him a unique understanding of the needs and challenges faced by religious organizations.

In his free time, Ken enjoys golf, basketball, tennis, and football. He has been happily married to his wife, Nancy, for nearly five decades, and they have three adult children and 12 grandchildren.

Sue Guzman

Suleika Guzman is a dedicated insurance professional who believes in providing ministries with coverage solutions designed to meet their unique needs. With a background in customer service and a passion for insurance, she is committed to helping churches understand the importance of proper insurance coverage.

Outside of work, she enjoys serving in the children's ministry, scrapbooking, listening to podcasts, and going on family hikes with her husband, Elvin, and their three daughters, with whom she has shared 21 wonderful years.
